Felt-tip pen & ink on paper, 30 cm x 42 cm, 2004 – 2006

This series, entitled “laboratories”, consists of 30 variations of fictional, scientific investigations. Research delving into the nature of objects and moments in time is undertaken in hopes of finding satisfactory solutions to the questions at hand.

Illustrations of pumps, tubes and cables, connected to each other and to a myriad of technical/electronic equipment, represent fabricated laboratory situations.

Fluids pass through various tubes and are pumped, smoke is induced by reactions of some kind, providing hints into the research supposedly taking place…
