The laboratories

With a series of outline drawings, JULIA NEUENHAUSEN (*1965, lives in Berlin) constructs a complex examination laboratory consisting of
intricate tube and pipe systems. Computer-generated signs provide clues to their supposed meanings. Focussed detailed drawings provide an insight into the examination room. Nevertheless, this space remains deliberately undefined. It can be interpreted as a model that can stand for the human organism as well as for social systems or individual thought structures.
